schwetzingen.castle.garden

after admiring the cherry blossom, we continue our stroll at the schwetzingen castle but now checking out the french landscape garden which is kind of a mini and rough version of versailles palace in paris outskirt...

approaching schwetzingen castle, the tower in the city center

schwetzingen castle - main entrance

the statue in the center of the pool, the quality of the statues varied...

Parterre in the formal garden

what i find peculiar is that there is a mosque in the palace garden

a pond at the end of the garden, a rather scenic shot, don't you think so?

apparently according to the local, there are big fishes in the pond, these fishes are man rare for two years and then just prior to christmas, the fishes will be electric shock to death and sell at the fish stalls for christmas delicacy, what an interesting fact but it is at least good that the eco system is at work and fishes are rare for 2 years before being eaten up by the germans...
