this morning i have to go for a scheduled check-up at the hospital. we leave early enough in order to be on time for the medical appointment at 0915. the snow just creates the chaotic traffic situation, the entire traffic is collapsed, after 45 minute, we are still within our own city, there is no way to get near to the highway, all cars are stationary. total stand still.
we called the hospital and thought they would cancel the appointment but on the contrary, the nurse just asked us to come as long as it is before twelve noon. so we bet on train service, and in 20 minute we reached the hospital. in fact the doctor herself is late by two hours as well... perhaps God knows it all that there is no point for us to arrive on time... the check up went smooth although the result will only be known in the new year. i have no pain and i am not affected by the painkiller or feeling drowsy at all...
back at home, i work on project fairies while watching the snow storm flakes floating in the air and the never ending outpouring of snow from above. it is enchanting. it is beautiful. as long as i don't have to go out and stay warm and cozy at home, it is a winter wonderland....
when the snow stopped for a little while, i took my camera and when out for a winter wonderland walk, probably just within 500 meters proximity, i can hardly recognize my own neighbourhood. it is pretty. fresh snow is scenic. it's pure, if i may use the word pure to describe fresh snow...
the blanket of snow on the tree branches, taken from my kitchen window...
a small little rose branch carries a pile of snow...
my neighbour, i love her Christmas window decorations. the sprayed snow display and the real blanket of snow on the bicycle, the garden's chairs complimenting each other beautifully. perhaps her wish of white Christmas will come true...
back in the house, i feel the warmth once again, a cup of spiced chai tea with a dash of milk on my hand and the scents of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove floating in the air....
despite of the hassles, traffic, winter wonderland is enchanting....
