perhaps it's winter. our daily bread food becomes heavier... quiche seems to be on the top ten chart lately especially in the weekends and the minimalist zen japanese cuisine seems so out at the moment. i guess human palette changes according to the season....

and it is saintly if i may borrow a word used by nigel slater in his bbc cooking series the "simple suppers".
and make good use of what you have in your garden, kitchen and fridge. so a combo of avocado, tomato, dill, garlic salad with generous drizzle of evoo....
