edinburgh.impression

this is the look out from your living room, your apartment in edinburgh. there's no hotel room available as the whole world flocks to edinburgh for its festival.  and thankfully you manage to get a one room apartment for your stay.

your hearty and "sinful" breakfast, but it's breakfast anyway, you have enough time to burn off the calories and fat.  the plate consists of both the good (egg white scramble, baked beans), the bad (cumberland sausage, hash brown) and the ugly (scottish haggis), but the ugly is a must try and it's indeed yummy.

you didn't rock the entire city of edinburgh yet, you've only been to the old city where the endinburgh castle is.  even then you didn't actually get near to it due to the nightly military tattoo show that's going on during the festival.

the grasmarket, also part of the old town square where there are plenty of pubs and restaurants for tourists.  apparently there is a newer part of the city you yet to step on.

and that what you like about exploring a new city, taking your time, appreciating the scenes and sights. when you look carefully, you do spot some nice little statues here and there, all over the city. this is a lovely little puppy watching a bar.
you would love to stay in this hotel, and you will make sure you are booked into this lovely hotel in a building full of characters...
you also spot a double decker vintage bus along side the red telephone booth. classic.
edinburgh is surrounded by hills, and hills are visible everywhere you go...
and you will end with this edinburgh impression, it's interesting  to see the new and old buildings cramping together in one shot.  rather unique, bizarre yet orderly co-existing...
so much for now. good night all!
