Fairy.cave.仙.洞.

there are some natural reserves along the way from kuching to bau. after visiting bau town (this will be another story), you stopped by fairy cave. as far as you can recalled you never really set you foot here, and thus if your memory is right, this is the very first time that you "conquer" the cave.
at the approach, there are some 8 flights of stairs to walk up to the entrance of the cave.
and before the modern staircases were built, one has to walk up on this narrow stone and slippery stair like this.
as soon as you reach the entrance, the initial two inner stairs are wet and dark, you didn't have the right shoes but it doesn't stop you from progressing further, so together with your nephew you continue.
and have absolutely no regrets. it's steep, wet, slippery and dangerous to certain extend but the view is stunning up there. you were wet, perspiring and almost soaking in your sweet and the humidity in the cave by the time you reach the first platform.
it's the humidity that drives you nuts, you were literally wet from head to toe. and the steam on your glasses made photography difficult.
fairy cave is a paradise, lives up to its name. the sound and sight of dripping water, the parasite green on the limestone, the sunlight that penetrates through made the entire scenery a fairy tale setting. and certainly your photo will not do the justice.  experiencing in person is a must.
right at this moment, while you observe the rock formation and appreciate the limestone sculptures in solitude, you almost believe in fairy tale and it's existence ^^.
you didn't proceed to the second station as the path is getting too slippery but your nephew went ahead.
and according to him the next station is even more pristine with an open platform that look out to the green field but the weather was cloudy. you will save it for the next time when you are more prepared for the occasion.

not far from the entrance to the cave, you visited the expose granite wall...
the reflection of the water almost blends in to the limestone exterior. if only people stop graffiti and stop littering their trash, this place would really meant for the fairies and a paradise on earth.

love fairy. love cave. fairy cave.
