lou.yee.sang.捞.鱼.生

you went to your friend's place at frisland for a chinese new year celebration today.
it's your first time preparing the yee shang (鱼生), even then this is a store bought yee shang kit that you carried all the way back from malaysia during your december home trip.
it has a mixed of sweeten and pickled shredded vegetables, some flour crisps and some spices. all you did was adding a fresh pack of shredded carrot and thinly sliced raw salmon to it. the final touch is pouring the plum sauce to the plate and it is ready to be tossed
a group photo of all the ladies in the house before the mess toss begin.  these are the bunch of malaysian chinese that didn't get to go home (malaysia) to celebrate the spring festival and so the consolation is to celebrate it here with a group of friends.
tossing begins, although none of you were really good with shouting auspicious phrases
but it's the toss that count, the higher the better...
and this is your portion of yee shang, it's sweet, it's tangy, it's crunchy but not your favorite, but it is a festive fun ^^.

more photos will come later...
