tuscan.bean.soup

half way through the first week of january, it is just so surreal to you.  you are just not in working mode despite the fact that you have actually been to a client yesterday but you just don't feel like sitting behind your laptop.
instead, you stood for hours in the kitchen.  a little insane but that's what you just did.  may be is to make up the three weeks of vacation where you only cooked once or it's just cooking put you into perspective with the cold weather here.   the weather is still very mild, nonetheless cold in the single digit celcius.  you made a pot of hearty tuscan bean soup from stretch. 
this year you have decided where possible at home, you will eat less red meat but more white meat.  reduce shell fish intake and maintain the fish consumption. eat more greens and beans and vegetables proteins.  eat less processed meat but more fresh produces.  moderate your food and wine intake when you are on business trip. you will go back to three time per week workout regardless of your travel schedule, after all there is no excuse for there's always a gym facility at any hotel that you stay. this is not new year resolution, you stop making them for years but at least this is what you try to stick to for 2012.
a simple lunch, a bowl of freshly made soup and a chicken avocado pesto spread sandwich. and of course a dirty cup of chai with a dash of low fat milk in weather like this.
