After the heavy rice dumpling, we didn't have rice for dinner tonight, a rather french tonight. No thing sophisicated, but some thing down to earth and complemented by an Indonesian dish by incident...

Asparagus must be the home run vegetable for us since last month. Eat what is in season is good for the environment and they are fresh and affordable. This is purely just parboiled till soft, no seasoning, no salt or pepper, but the natural fragrant of asparagus explode to the fullest.
Johannes cooked mussels with a French recipe, i.e. with white wine, cream, and various western herbs.. it is delicious but a bit too creamy, I tried to refrain from the sauce knowing that 40g of butter has been used...
The parsley gives an iron finish to the dish...
