Japan Food: Sushi

We only ate sushi twice throughout our stay at Japan. The first time was at Asakusa (浅草寺)on the night of Asakusa Hozuki-ichi Matsuri. It was late and we dropped by this belted sushi shop at an alley in the Kaminarimon (雷門) and Senso-ji (浅草寺) area.

Sushi topped with jumbo fresh prawn...

It is supposed to be a conveyor belt sushi, but because it was late at night, there aren't much choice on the belt but more on order as you wish. We ran into problem where we don't know how to order (given this is a rather local spot) and no photo to point to either. So we ate what is on the belt plus a few other wrong orders as they turned out not the sushi that we wanted... what an experience.

Assorted seafood sushi we ate...

The second time was at Furano (富良野), Hokkaido, on the last night with Tata, it was a lucky shot to find this outlet where most sushi (plate of 2 pieces) are priced at 108 yen. Absolute a bargain, and the topping is as fresh as it could be, it was sooooo soooooo fresh and cheap...
