Are these muffins? Or are these cupcakes? While Johannes insists these are muffins, I am a firm believer that these are cupcakes… There are different arguments, some say is all in the name, others believe that muffin is sort of quick bread (can be sweet or savory) while cupcake is cake divided in cup size and is always sweet.
I baked these cupcakes yesterday evening and flavored them with Matcha (Powdered green tea) so they are a bit green. It is my first attempt but it seems to be very successful especially the cupcakes were rising and popping in the oven...
These are CUPCAKES, especially when I frosted one with hazelnut cream and sprinkle a dash of powdered green tea on top of it…
The hazelnut spread goes well with it and with a layer on top of the bare cupcake looks much sexier than before...
