japan.dusseldorf

Today we started our journey at around 9am and managed to arrive Dusseldorf at just around 12 noon. Checked in to our hotel in the city. We were given a corner room like this.
Two sides of the room is made of full length glass window from ceiling to floor. It looks spacious and transparent but overnight on a cold winter night of -12C in such a room is not a good idea as the glass window doesn't insulate as good as a solid wall, I guess extra heating will do the job...
Sunny Dusseldorf although there is already a layer of snow around the city, this is taken just outside the hotel on our walking hunt to Japanese street

Approaching Dusseldorf main train station, we have to pass through it to the other side of town.

As soon as we are out from the other side of the train station, we are in a neighbourhood where Japanese eateries, groceries shops, bookstores and are packed together on one street and side alleys. What a nice discovery as we exploring the shops, hopping in and out to conserve our body heat and keep warm before strolling down the street and hopping in to another store to satisfy our stomach or browsing Japanese goods in grocery stores...

A Japanese bakery store selling nothing but Japanese style bread and buns. We got a few green tea (matcha) flavored ones and some adzuki (Hokkaido red bean) ones as well for snacks and breakfast.
