Happy Chap Goh Meh

Today is the Fifteen day of Chinese Lunar New Year, which marks the end of the lunar New Year celebration among all the Chinese communities.

I know this synopsis “3 funerals and a New Year” has nothing to do with this festive day, but surely you watched the classic comedy movie “4 weddings and a funeral” before, and this blog entry is to remember the 3 deaths of someone close to me

24^th Jan 2009 – Dad passed way

29^th Jan 2009 – My eldest sister’s mother-in-law passed way

3^rd Feb 2009 – the father of sister Munce (one of my beloved sister in Christ) passed away

And because today is the last day of CNY, thus this surely marks the end of “3 funerals and a New Year”.

Happy Chap Goh Meh, Happy Chinese Valentine’s Day (中国情人节), Happy Lantern Festival (元宵节) and enjoy a bowl of glutinous rice ball in ginger syrup soup (汤团) to those who still observe this occasion.
