Patisserie Jerreau

I researched a bit and discovered a patisserie in Den Haag. We went along last Friday (1st May) afternoon and bought four small tartlets which resemble a petit four (slightly larger version). Jerreau makes tartlets of the French standard. All four that we tasted are really refined, beautifully decorated with passion. These tartlets don’t come cheap but they live up to the price we paid especially if you want a satisfaction of palette and complexity of taste, texture in a small tart like this.

A box of surprise from Patisserie Jerreau

Top left is a toffee and caramel taste tartlet, not bad in taste but way too sweet for me. Bottom right is called 'Cassis' - bavaroise with complex sour and sweetness intertwining to the very end....

This is a really light and delicious vanilla spring fruits compote. The best of the four.

This tartlet is composed with light and airily bavaroise in citrus/lemon taste. A chocolate bean and pistachio accentuate the taste further.
