Kyoto Food: Nama Yatsuhashi (生八ツ橋)

This is probably one of my favorite sweets so far from Kyoto. It is called Yatsuhashi (八ツ橋) in general but because it is not called and therefore it is called Nama Yatshuhasi (生八ツ橋). There are different taste, the most common ones are made of anko red bean paste, or kuri chestnut paste, I have seen the matcha paste version but my favorite is this one – Nama Yatsuhashi with black sesame paste.

These are really so tasty that I could finished the whole box at one time but luckily I have enough self-discipline to have only one a day and preferably when I have the matcha.
